Credit Risk Summer Internship 2025
Experience a unique culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth at 4most
Who are 4most?
We are not your typical consultancy firm; our purpose is to redefine consulting by enabling all our people to flourish and excel. We have over 250 consultants working in credit risk, data, market risk, life insurance and general insurance, across multiple sites – London, Leeds, Edinburgh, Dublin, Dubai and Bengaluru. We value every individual’s contribution to the success of the company with colleagues owning a significant share of the business, and we have ambitious plans to grow even further.
As experts in our field, we are passionate about what we do and embrace diversity; we’ve created a fun and innovative environment where technical minds flourish. Individual success is not measured by the size of your team or the hours you work, it’s the unique value you bring to the community. We want our people to think differently and challenge the status quo.
Our people are our biggest asset. We're proud to have been voted the Best Company to work for at the 2023 Credit Strategy Awards, Women in Credit Employer of the Year for 2023, Best Management Consultancy Firm MEA Finance UAE 2022, and the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024. Our awards speak for themselves. We reward teamwork and believe value should be shared with all who contribute.
We are passionate about what we do and making a difference, so we're taking bold steps to reduce emissions and be carbon neutral (including scope 1, 2 & 3) by 2025. As an aspiring B-Corp we want to work with people and clients who share our values. Our website has a wealth of information about who we are, so please have a read!
What is a Credit Risk Intern?
Role Description
At 4most you will gain insight into what a potential career in credit risk entails through industry specific informative sessions, networking opportunities and social events. Working closely with fellow 4mosters, you will apply the technical and soft skills acquired through the 6 weeks into a variety of tasks and a project.
Internship Structure
The 6-week internship programme will be split into 2 parts:
- Part 1 - will cover topics within credit risk such as background information, regulations, interactive coding workshops and independent practice assignments.
- Part 2 - will be a practical project either working individually or as part of a team where you will have the opportunity to apply some of your technical and soft skills. You will also showcase your consulting abilities by presenting your results to senior 4mosters at the end of the project.
Don’t worry, we know this is new to most of you! Hence why, you will be assigned a buddy (usually a recent graduate) for the full duration of the internship programme who will be able to support you and your wellbeing, while answering questions around tasks, assignments and everything in between.
Internship Content
Informative Sessions
Includes high-level introductions to Credit Risk topics such as IFRS 9, Capital and Impairment, Signature Curves, Economics Overview, Machine Learning, Model Validation, and Regulations.
Technical workshops
Interactive workshops covering coding languages such as SAS (WPS). You’ll have the opportunity to cover material such as basic data steps/manipulation, data investigation and analysis, understanding and writing macro’s, model creation, and scorecard development.
Assignments
Interns may be given short assignments after completion of SAS (WPS) seminars as well as re-cap quizzes on technical content covered.
Project
The final segment of the internship allows you to put some of your skills and knowledge learnt towards a project which could involve research, analysis, creative problem solving and presenting a final solution with supported rationale.
Career Progression
Showcasing your skills through the 6-week internship successfully could land you an offer on our Credit Risk Analyst programme at 4most. This is where you will translate the technical and soft skills you’ve learnt through the internship onto the next stage of your career.
Requirements
We do not expect applicants to have finance or credit risk knowledge, but they should be curious to learn about credit risk. Along with this, we would love to see the following attributes when you apply:
- Academic – We ask for you to apply with a discipline grounded with quantitative aspects and strong statistical content.
- Organised – Our purpose is to deliver bespoke solutions to our clients so these should be structured in a clear and methodical way.
- Decisive – A consultant gives expert advice within a technical or professional field and so we must be able to make clear and informed choices.
- Supportive – 4most benefits from having a variety of individuals but we must collaborate effectively to reach our goals, therefore, we expect 4mosters to be inclusive, compassionate and helpful.
- Honest – We do not always know the answer, but we will find it! We expect consultants to be transparent in their approach and demonstrate integrity.
- Enthusiastic – A strong passion for finding smart and valuable solutions whilst working collaboratively with peers ensures that we can deliver high quality products to our clients.
- Self-motivated – We are always striving to improve and so it is important that you are keen to develop both yourself and 4most alike.
